The Venetian Celebrations in Kokkola

A Venetian evening was celebrated in Kokkola as early as the 1800’s. The whole town joins in the party and strings of lanterns and fires light up the shores for many kilometres. Der veniezianische Abend wird schon seit Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts gefeiert. Karnevalstimmung herrscht in der Stadt und kilometerlange Lagerfeuerketten leuchten auf den Stränden.
