Summer Tour to Kokkola, for Groups Wednesday: Arrival in the Market Square. Cruise onboard m/s Jenny to Tankar Island at 12:00, from Kokkola Camping passenger harbour. Lunch of salmon soup at Café Tankar. Guided tour of the island, e.g. Tankar chapel, seal-hunting museum, and lighthouse. Coffee and cakes. Return to Kokkola at 15:30-17:00. Drive to the hotel, accommodation. Dinner at 19:00. Evening sale on the Market Square at 18-21 for those who are interested. Thursday: Breakfast. A trip to the Toivonen Zoo and Peasant museum at 9:00. Guided bus tour of Kokkola at 13:30, incl. Neristan – the “old town” of Kokkola, Kaarlela medieval church, homestead museum, vicar Anders Chydenius’s memorial, K.H. Renlund’s art museum, Lassander’s house, Nature collection Kieppi & Minerals. Coffee and waffles at Vohvelikahvila café in the museum at 15:00. Return to the hotel at 16:00. Time on your own. Dinner at 18:00. Evening music at Kaarlela stone church at 20-21. Friday: Breakfast. Recreation at Kokkola Vesiveijarit Spa starting from 9:00. Saunas, indoor and outdoor pools, Jacuzzis. Leisurely water gymnastics if you wish. At 10:30 trip along the 7 Bridges Archipelago road (40 km) to Jakobstad. Tour of Jakobstad at 11:15-12:45, including Aspegren’s garden. Lunch at 13:00. Guided tour of Arctic Museum Nanoq at 14:00-16:00. Have a nice journey back home! Stay Overnight on Tankar Lighthouse Island Spend an exotic night in the vicinity of the Tankar lighthouse (built in 1889). Departure from the Passenger Terminal at Vanhansatamanlahti onboard m/s Jenny at 12 hrs. Accommodation and independent tour of the island, e.g. seal-hunters’ museum. Breakfast in Café Tankar.
