Korpholmen Leprosy Hospital From 1631 to 1848 Korpholmen was the site of a leper hospital, a hospital for the mentally ill and a poor house. Today there is a reconstruction of the church which once stood in this naturally beautiful area. There is also an exhibition house where one can learn more about the history of the hospital.
