Bjärgas Homestead Farm and Museum The museum has permanent exhibitions of smallholder home, toys, technical aids, old-time utility articles, village grocery store from the 1950’s, Finland’s wars, ladies’ finery and the highlights of life, miniature models of old villages, shoemaker’s shop and milk processing. Annual summer exhibitions open in June – August. There are about twenty buildings in the museum area: the smithy, windmill, droft, wringer, island cottage, laundry, log drill, etc. Tasty herbal products for sale in the Christmas markets! In 2009-2010, a new building will be erected, including a meeting hall, modern kitchen, and toilets. Visit our events, 1st of May festival, Christmas markets, sing-along, etc. Further details on our website. Bjärgas herb garden is a new place to visit! Bosund boat, fishing and hunting museum A unique little museum with links to the archipelago, located close to the waterfront and the road! The collection consists of peasant boats, fishing and hunting gear with links to the life on the islands in Larsmo. There is also a typical island cottage and a smithy as well as granaries and salting huts in the area. The new exhibition hall is warm all the year round – a place to see interesting boat-building tools throughout the years and old-time boat motors, etc. Welcome also by boat, moor at the tourist pier!
