Greeting from Czech fishers
5 days on a private fishingtour in the area of 7 Bridge Archipelago at Perhojoki river in Kokkola.
Hello,
my name is František, I'm from Czech republic.
In september 2010, I were with my five friends on fishing trip in Kokkola.
We were three-times in "Kalastus ja Erä" fishing shop and got good advices
about pike-fishing in surroundings of Kokkola.
I would like to thank you for your help, because all of the places, that you
showed us on the map, was wery good and full of fish. Each one of us caught
a lots of pikes and we have taken home many pleasant memories.
On Saturday 18'th September, you gave me your own 15cm Buster Jerk in „Clown Fish“ colour.
At the same day towards the evening I caught a really nice 116cm long pike.
- It was the biggest pike of our trip and it was caught on your „Clown Fish“ Jerk...
Next day, on Sunday, my friend caught a very nice pike too. It was 111cm
long. - Both of this pikes were caught in Perhonjoki, in the part of river between
the bridge near the Shell-station and the confluence 1km up river.
During our trip there were also caught other two pikes ower 1 meter in
Perhonjoki – 100 and 101cm.
The biggest pike from brackish water was 100cm long and there was also
caught pikes 95, 94, 93, 91... and many more.
Most of the pikes we caught was released back to their water. Only three
smaller pikes around 70cm was taken to eat.
One of the best things about the fishing in this region was that we meet a
minimum of other anglers during our trip. It unfortunately sometimes seemes
like there is more fishers than fish in some waters in our country...
I hope that the waters in your region will remain full of fish for following
times. I send you some photos of our best pikes.
(We would like to come back to some similar fishing trip in some of the next
years.)
With a greetings,
František
